Tadelakt is a decoration plaster, 100% natural and ready to use. It is perfect alternative to tiles in bathrooms, spas, and wet rooms, as it is in Morocco. Completely natural tadelakt is produced with natural hydraulic lime, natural additives and fine sands to reduce cracks.
Tadelakt is a dry decorative mortar with a specific mix designed to reduce the cracks, very common with traditional oriental tadelakts.
Tadelakt is a traditional decorative plaster which is water-resistant and excellent for kitchens, and bathrooms when protected with “savonite”. It can be applied directly to all lime, lime and cement, cement or gypsum board substrates. For other walls, it requires application of Primer San Tomasso.
Savonite
- Mix 3 spoons of black soap with 1 L of water.
- Bring to the boil.
- Add 5 g of carnauba wax.
- Cool and apply.
Tadelakt is bright and can be easily coloured using natural and artificial pigments.
